USO Puget Sound Area earns Five-Star Rating...Again
At the 2011 Five-Star Gala and Auction, USO Puget Sound Area Board Chairman Malcolm McLellan made a spectacular announcement. The USOPSA received the highest recognition from USO Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia – a Five-Star rating.

Unbeatable service, outreach and enthusiasm are offered to the 500,000 service members and military families coming through the Puget Sound area annually. When the ratings began in 2008, the USOPSA was recognized as a Five-Star Chartered Center. It the first Chartered Center to hold this title for the last three years.

"The men and women who serve our country deserve the best. Our staff and volunteers strive to provide this daily," USOPSA Executive Director Don Leingang said. "It is a great honor for the USOPSA to provide them with places of rest, comfort, services and programs."

Mobile Canteen Makeover
The USO Puget Sound Area Mobile has a new look! No longer a white Winnebago, the mobile unit sports a digital camouflage print with the USO Puget Sound Area logo shining bright on every side.

"The Mobile with its new wrap will be a great symbol of USOPSA's support of the service members and their families as it hits the road to provide USO programs and outreach," Executive Director Don Leingang said.

USOPSA's Mobile made its debut at the Veterans Day Parade held in Auburn on November 5, 2011. FastSigns of Olympia-Lacey completed the wrap of the mobile.
