Our mission statement: The USO lifts the spirits of America's troops and their families.
We will work by these core values:
|Do the Right Thing||Accountability|
A nonprofit, congressionally chartered, private organization, the USO Northwest relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, foundations and corporations to support its activities. The USO Northwest is not a part of the U.S. government, but is recognized by the Department of Defense, Congress and the President of the United States.
Supporting America's troops was the first mission of the USO. Over time, the USO has evolved, developing new programs and services to meet the ever-changing needs of the troops and their families, while holding steadfast to the original mission.
Today, the USO Northwest continues to lift the spirits of America's troops and their families throughout the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Alaska. USO Northwest provides programs and services developed to meet the unique needs of today's military and their families. With the help of more than 300 volunteers, USO Northwest serves over 500,000 military and their families annually. USO Northwest provides support to those who need it the most including military deploying overseas and returning home, military families, woumded warriors and their families and families of the fallen.
